What Documents Do I Need to Enter Mexico?
Whether you're entering Mexico through air, land or water you'll need to show the following papers:
-A valid passport or travel document: Although the passport or document must be valid for the duration of your stay in Mexico, there is not a minimum period of validity.
-A fully and properly completed FMM Form (Multiple Migratory Form): This will be given to you by the airline or upon arrival at the airport. You can also fill it out online prior to boarding your flight here. It's crucial to keep it safe and never lose it as you'll be asked for it document when leaving Mexico.
-Additional documents: Mexican officers may request other documents at the port of entry depending on the purpose of your trip such as:
Tourism: hotel reservations, return tickets, etc.
Business: a letter from your employer stating that you'll be working under their company and not a Mexican one.
Students: a letter of acceptance or invitation by an institution that's part of the national educational system to take a course, conduct a research project or attend academic training for a maximum period of 180 days.
